JavaScript API (App)
You can now show or hide the "Add row" and "Delete this row" buttons in "Table" fields, and retrieve their display state

The JavaScript API now allows you to change the display status of the "Add row"/"Delete row" buttons shown in "Table" fields on the record creation and edit screens, and check that status. This lets you hide Kintone's standard add row/delete row buttons and build your own table behavior to match your workflow through customization.
Show or hide the "Add row" button on a "Table" field:
Show or hide the "Add row" button (desktop)kintone.app.record.showAddTableRowButtons()
Show or hide the "Add row" button (mobile)kintone.mobile.app.record.showAddTableRowButtons()
Show or hide the "Delete this row" button on a "Table" field:
Show or hide the "Delete this row" button (desktop)kintone.app.record.showDeleteTableRowButtons()
Show or hide the "Delete this row" button (mobile)kintone.mobile.app.record.showDeleteTableRowButtons()
Retrieve the display state of the "Add row" button on a "Table" field:
Retrieve the display state of the "Add row" button (desktop)kintone.app.record.getAddTableRowButtonsDisplayState()
Retrieve the display state of the "Add row" button (mobile)kintone.mobile.app.record.getAddTableRowButtonsDisplayState()
Retrieve the display state of the "Delete this row" button on a "Table" field:
Retrieve the display state of the "Delete this row" button (desktop)kintone.app.record.getDeleteTableRowButtonsDisplayState()
Retrieve the display state of the "Delete this row" button (mobile)kintone.mobile.app.record.getDeleteTableRowButtonsDisplayState()
For details, refer to the kintone developer program.

Platform
Further improvements:
- Front-end infrastructure update (space and thread screens)

We've been continuously improving the "front-end infrastructure renewed for the Space and Thread screens," offered as a feature under consideration since June 2026, and here's what's changed since its release.
We're still accepting requests and suggestions through the "Feedback on Kintone" form.

Improved rich text editor display and usability

The rich text editor in a thread's post field
We fixed an issue where extra blank lines were added when text was copied and pasted. We also improved how table widths and mentions are displayed.

Improved usability for image slideshows

Slideshow display for images attached to a thread
We improved the display and feel of paging through images, zooming in, and dragging around a zoomed image.

Improved mobile display

How the thread screen looks on mobile
We've improved the display of headings and other elements, and fixed an issue where attached images couldn't be downloaded.

We've also made a number of other improvements since release.

Posting and display improvements

  • Long text no longer breaks the layout — you can now scroll horizontally to read it comfortably.
  • We fixed an issue where posts opened from a notification would appear twice.
  • We prevented accidental double-posting caused by accidentally clicking the "Post" button.

Image and file improvements

  • Threads with many images now load faster.
  • Image links now support "Open in new tab".
  • Heading sizes no longer change unexpectedly when content is copied over using a thread action.

Keyboard and assistive technology improvements

  • Screen readers can now read mention suggestions aloud
  • Improved focus movement with the Tab key, and focus handling when editing alt text
  • The thread list now opens in a new tab with Ctrl+click (Command+click)

JavaScript API (App)
New JavaScript API for generating text with generative AI added to the API Lab

We added a JavaScript API to the API Lab that lets you generate text using generative AI from customizations and plug-ins. You can now develop AI-powered customizations and plug-ins without the hassle of signing up for an external generative AI service or setting up a relay server to manage usage yourself.
For example, by incorporating features that generate text based on record data into customizations and plug-ins, you can summarize sales meeting details or draft replies to inquiries.
JavaScript API for generating text with generative AI:
API for generating text using generative AIkintone.ai.generateText()
For details, refer to the developer program documentation, which will be published after release.
This API is one of the Kintone AI features. Using it consumes AI credits based on the model you use, how much you send it, and how much text it generates. Kintone administration shows the total usage from this API on the "AI credit usage" screen, and usage broken down by app on the "App management" screen. You can also set a limit on how many AI credits this API can use.
* To use this feature, enable "JavaScript API for generating text with AI (available in Kintone AI)" from the "API Lab" section of "Update options".
* APIs published in API Lab may be discontinued before release, or have their specs changed significantly as updates continue.

REST API
The REST API for searching across kintone now supports searches that include related terms

The REST API for searching across kintone, offered as a feature under consideration, now lets you include related terms (such as spelling variations, abbreviations, and synonyms) in your searches. For example, when you search for "complaint," records containing "grievance" are also returned in the search results.
REST API for searching with related terms:
API for searching across kintone[POST]/k/v1/search.json
This also helps generative AI search data recorded in many different ways — free-text survey answers, for example — and it works with all-contents search from the Kintone MCP server too.
You can combine it with other search conditions, like sorting by relevance or specifying which apps and spaces to search.
We'll keep working on ways to improve and expand search conditions and results, and we'd love your feedback — you can send it through the "Kintone Improvement Program" form.
* This feature supports commonly used terms. Organization-specific alternatives, such as product names and internal abbreviations, are not supported.
* For details, refer to the kintone developer program.
